Good to see. You can be our local "Rep" BD.

Would you go to a game ? Is it only Hobart - or a wider area ?

Its only in the Hobart area to date. I used to go to the occasional game during the previous comp but as i live out of town now, its a bit harder.

Not yet but they will be wearing a strip based on the Central Coast's Yellow and Blue jersey it will have the Knights logo on it's sleeve. They will play out of Morry Breen Oval at Wyong and the Coach is expected to be Rip Taylor setting up the dream team of Taylor and Stone for the Knights brilliant stuff. The Knights will also step up deal with real NRL by increasing the coaching development, trainers conditioners of the local competition and that part will be extended to the Central Coast Division competition too. Real NRL will maintain it's player placement program but a few less players will be going back but the Ambassador program will be upgraded to make up for it. The Entrance Tigers will compete in the Bundaberg Red Cup (formerly Jim Beam Cup)

The NSWRL are subsidizing the Knights reentry into the NSWRL's premier competition in and effort to raise the profile of the competition and increase it. The move was also made possible with Melbourne who had a team on the Coast the last 2 years by entering their own team into the competition out of Melbourne.

Knights wont play any home games out of the Central Coast however the CRL and Central Coast RL will be encouraging teams that bring home games to Central Coast stadium to be against the Knights to help promotion of the game on the coast with the Mariners and RU making inroads in recent years on the Central Coast with the false starts and local competition decline in quality due to Wyong moving to the real NRL and Entrance to the Sydney Comp.

This is huge for Rugby League on the Central Coast however I think it is a bit of a body blow for North Sydney/Central Coast Bears efforts to return to the big league because it now Newcastle has claimed the biggest asset of the CC Bears the Junior base and has a contract for next 5 years with an option for a further 3 years. As this move has been backed, bankrolled even by CRL and NSWRL I think the time frame for any bid by the CCB to be in the NRL has been put off for a decade

http://www.theherald.com.au/news/local/sport/rugby-league/real-nrl-clubs-hit-hardest-by-new-deal/1680109.aspx

So the Real NRL clubs are a bit disappointed especially at how quickly and without warning this move has come. But think the NSWRL offered the Knights too good a deal to refuse.

http://www.theherald.com.au/news/local/sport/rugby-league/cup-return-right-move-for-players-says-stone/1680083.aspx

Rick Stone has always been a strong advocate for the real NRL partnership with the Knights but still sees a silver lining in the move.

More on the deal it's a shame for the real NRL they really got a boost of the like of Cooper Vuna playing in the local comp last season.

Next year's City versus Country Origin clash will be contested at Port Macquarie's Regional Stadium. The annual New South Wales State of Origin trial will be played on May 7, the same night that Australia play New Zealand to open Melbourne's new rectangular football stadium.

A big night.

The mighty Kurri Kurri Bulldogs named their team of the century this week don't have full list but greats such as John Sattler, Lumsden brothers and Steve Linane where presented with jumpers by former captain coach the immortal Johnny Raper. All reports a great night and a sensational team

Central Newcastle named there team of the century this week it had players of the ilk of Bobby Banks, Clive Churchill and Wally Prigg in it. The big surprise was that Wally Prigg who captained Kangaroos tours from the butcher boys was named captain ahead of the immortal and captain of the Australian team of the century Clive Churchill
