Rules are the same as at the end of last season.
Two points for a correct tip.
One point for a drawn game not selected & 3 points for a selected drawn game.
One game each week will be a discriminator game with the closest margin to determin the weekly winner in the case of equal points.

i'm in - don't know who is going to win the final . probably as unpredictable as what the ref will do with this new rule ..my guess - the team with the fittest players and best goal kicker will rule - this rule where they have to roll off the player straight away when they get tackled... i can see the ref blowing penalties even more - almost like rugby don't want a defensive line - I think this rule is stupid

i like a good stoush at the breakdown

I would have a better shot at picking the winner if I knew who was in the final, OB. There is no new rule, just a correct interpretation of the old rule. The breakdown was being weighted in favour of defensive teams as attacking teams were being penalised if they didn't have a player go straight up the arse of the ball carrier. The ball carrier was more likely to tackled unsupported out wide and on kick returns, which lead to a lack of adventure and more kicking. It is hoped that by making the tackler come in through the gate that there is more advantage in running with the ball in hand. I don't know that it does anything to the defensive line.

maybe i was being facetious having grown up with the grind of the wok era where teams where forced to fight for space.some habits die hard.

Appparently this new intepretation is suppose to aid inventive play out wide by stopping the tackler at the ruck contesting the ball and using the flankers in an attacking way. I'll give you my verdict after a few rounds.

reminds me of jason smith back in 94 - greatest ball player but lazy defender.don't know why i mentioned that but this is going to be good for the ball players/distributors
